01 / Three ways to read

Put the words where your eyes are.

Switch modes any time, even mid-take. The recording carries on without a hitch.

  1. Normal mode: the whole script fills the screen in large type over a dimmed camera preview.

    The whole script scrolls over a dimmed preview. The classic, made for longer reads.

  2. Top mode: one sentence pinned at the top edge next to the camera, the next one dimmed, the preview clear below.

    One sentence at a time, pinned right under the lens. Your eyes barely move, so you look straight at your viewer.

  3. Bottom mode: the same one-sentence strip sits just above the record button.

    The same strip, down by the controls, with a clear view of yourself above.

Set the pace from 0.5× to 2×, make the text bigger, or drag the script back by hand. Scrubbing never stops a take.

The Edit and export panel: trim start and end, a 9:16 frame, a warm look, and burned-in captions, loudness, noise reduction and silence removal all switched on.
Recording settings: reading speed, text size, and switches for background blur and voice follow, both on.

02 / On-device editing

Edit it where you shot it.

Trim, crop, caption and clean up your take on the same device that recorded it. Your original is always kept.

Burned in and timed from your script, or saved as .srt and .vtt.

03 / Privacy, by design

Your scripts and takes live in your browser’s own storage on your device. Editing runs on your device’s processor. Nothing goes anywhere unless you save or share it yourself.

The same goes for this page: no cookies, no analytics, nothing loaded from anyone else’s servers.

04 / Phone and laptop

One studio, every screen.

Open it in your browser and start reading. On a laptop, Top mode sits right under the webcam. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app, even in airplane mode.

Is it really free?

Yes. No trial, no watermark, no account to create.

Where do my videos go?

Nowhere, unless you send them. Takes are kept in your browser’s storage on this device. Save or share a copy whenever you like. Clearing your browser data removes them, so save the ones you love.

Does it really work offline?

Yes. After your first visit, CoffeePrompter opens and records with no connection at all. A few editing tools fetch their on-device models from CoffeePrompter the first time you use them, then work offline too.

Which browsers does it work in?

Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on phones, tablets and computers. If something blocks the camera, like a denied permission or an in-app browser, CoffeePrompter tells you exactly how to fix it.

What do I get when I export?

An MP4 or WebM video, depending on your browser, plus optional .srt and .vtt captions timed to your script.

How does voice follow work?

Turn it on and the script moves as you speak, using speech recognition that runs entirely on your device. It appears on devices that can run it.

Is there an Android app?

It’s on its way. Until then, open CoffeePrompter in Chrome on Android and add it to your home screen.
